Orange, mango, kiwi, sourkrout, broccoli, parsley, avocado, tomatoes (cooked), leeks, chlorella, baked sweet potatoes, bell peppers, apple, blueberries.
Symptoms of Vitamin C Deficiency
Skin:
• Perifollicular hemorrhages
• Red or blue spots on the skin,usually on the shins
• Easy bruising
• Wounds take a long time to heal (scurvy)
• Dry skin
• Rough, Bumpy Skin
Nails:
Spoon-shaped fingernails with red spots or lines.
Hair:
• Corkscrew hair
• Bumps around hair follicles
• Dry hair
• Bright red hair follicles
